The weekend of 24 April took this photographer south to Leesburg, Florida for a couple of days of sun, motorcycles, friends, and music. It was amazing!
The Leesburg Bikefest is an iconic biker and music event drawing over 250,000 people into a 30 square block area for three days of concerts, vendors, bike shows, demonstrations, bikini and tattoo contests, and more.

Friday night started off with a walk down Main Street Leesburg to the Budweiser stage where I shot for Central Florida band, Keeper. They put on a terrific three-set show loaded up with covers of some of the best tunes from the 70’s until now. Their solid rhythm section was a spectacular foundation for lead guitarist, Rob Howard’s screaming solos. Frontman Jayson Powers, kept the crowd on the dance floor and singing along with his stellar vocals and engaging stage presence.

After the show, I killed some time checking out the vendors and the bikes before the headliner of the night, Lita Ford, took the stage for a great set. Even though I didn’t get to shoot her show, it was still amazing to see. Lita’s still got it and she took the crowd along on a ride they won’t soon forget.
Saturday was another great day, with bikes upon more bikes to see and more great bands to hear. I spent the afternoon with my Orlando band friends, Hard Drive, and had a great time! These guys put on a terrific show and gave me some great photos before I wandered along to the bike contest. So many bikes, so little time.
I had to head back on Sunday, which was a great drive, so I could shoot three more shows. I’m not gonna tell you who, though – that’ll be a surprise in the next blog. Stay tuned for more!!!
